I’m Hanna Walkowaik (my last name is pronounced Wa-Cove-E-ack) but feel free to just call me Hanna. I am so honored you connected with my work. Growing up with a darkroom in my house, then years later graduating with a photography Bachelors Degree from Columbia College Chicago, being a photographer is my life’s work. Since 2013, I have photographed over 200 weddings and am still obsessed with my job. I absolutely love being an artist and being able to tell your love story through artful and documentary based imagery. Besides photography, I love traveling, cocktails, trying new restaurants and being with my people. I love living in the city (recently made the move from Chicago to LA,) but don't get me wrong, I'll hike a mountain in the rain for the perfect photo or even for a good story. I can’t wait to hear about your wedding day!

Every 2027 collection includes a mix of 35mm and 120 film alongside digital coverage. For couples drawn to a stronger focus on film, this option allows for expanded film coverage with a heavier emphasis on analog imagery woven throughout the day. Pricing may vary slightly depending on the scale of your wedding weekend.

À la carte wedding event coverage could mean welcome drinks, rehearsal dinner, next day brunch. Whatever you’re dreaming up, I would love to cover as part of the full wedding experience.

rehearsal dinner // Starts at 2000

Adding on rehearsal dinner coverage to capture the moments the night before your wedding. This may be welcome drinks or a formal dinner or even a welcome part boat ride with your guests. Photographed be me or my associate for up to 2 hours.

albums // starts at 1200

Heirloom albums are available to add on to any package. Custom design by Hanna and printed by a high end album company only available to professional photographers.

Schedule a boudoir session before your wedding for a confidence boost or as a meaningful gift for your partner. Consider a bridal or wedding portrait session before or after your big day to showcase your wedding attire in an epic location with ideal lighting.

FILM JUST FEELS DIFFERENT

There’s a nostalgia to it that you can feel in the texture, the color. There’s something so intimate about film and the ways it captures a moment in all its perfectly real imperfections. But what I really love about offering film to my clients is that it makes us slow down. Film takes time and reminds us to take a breath and really notice what makes the moment come alive with meaning. Film is always an optional add-on for every package, including elopements and engagement sessions. Want to know more? Let’s talk about it.

I guarantee at least 60 images per hour of shooting. Beyond that, there is no set number or cap to the amount of images I take. My focus is delivering a curated gallery of all the images that tell the story of your day.

I have two payment options: Pay 50% as a retainer at the time you sign your contract and the final 50% 30 days prior to the wedding OR Split up the retainer in two payments, essentially making four payments of 25%, the final payment due 30 days before your wedding date.

I deliver a large sneak peek gallery within one week of your wedding. You can expect your full gallery within 8-10 weeks. Engagement photos are delivered within 6 weeks.

Yes, it is part of your package for me to assist with timeline planning. I have years of experience. From when I should arrive and depart, to how long it is going to take to photograph each portrait component, to when you should do your first dance or cake cutting; I have your answers. Note: Even if you have a
planner, photography needs require a more detail timeline.

I use Canon equipment and my second photographers always shoot with similar professional gear. We have lighting equipment to be prepared for any kind of lighting situation. We always bring backup cameras, lenses, flashes, memory cards, and batteries.

Q. WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? DO YOU HAVE EQUIPMENT BACKUPS?

Keeping photos safe starts on the wedding day. As I am photographing, photos are automatically writing to two different memory cards. Once I get home, your photos are immediately backed up to 2 different hard drives, as well as a cloud-based storage. This insures all photos are safe.

If I had to redo my wedding and could only pick one vendor to keep, Hanna would be the one. STEPS

Because having a connection with my couples is important to me, let’s start with a zoom meeting to discuss your wedding plans, photography needs and get to know each other a bit. During our call we will discuss my process and I will help choose the best package for you. Once you are ready to book, I’ll send you a contract. When we have all signed the contract and you’ve paid the retainer, we are OFFICIAL.

2. wedding timeline

Before you wedding day I send a guide and questionnaire to get all the information needed to build a photography timeline for your day. Finally we will jump on a call and walk through each part of the day together to finalize your timeline.
